Fabric Sources
This page is specifically for on line fabric stores. Not only do I hate to scroll endlessly though my bookmarks but I also want to share some good places to find fabrics online, if like us, you have very limited choices near you to purchase from.
So, here are some links and if they have a particular specialty I have listed it. Many, but not all, of these places I have purchased from and can vouch that they send wonderful fabric and give great customer service. Many of them also have blogs that offer craft ideas and sometimes fabric give a ways so look around on their sites to see if the have one.
Cia’s Palette – has a few harder to find novelty fabrics and/or colors of some lines
Denver Fabrics — lots of stuff. Not much designer fabric but lots of “basics”.
Fabric Depot (have not purchased from)
Fabric Shack –Excellent selection of kona solids for a good price.
Fabrics Store –mostly 100% linen and some linen cotton blends.
Farm House Fabrics — some cottons specifically for quilting but also lots of lawns, voiles etc for clothing in colors not seen as often. (Have not purchased from here yet)
Fat Quarter Shop –has a blog
Fabric Shack –japanese fabric
Hawthorne Threads — the place ships at the speed of light.
Michael Levine—also known as Lowprice fabrics. Biggest selection of Robert Kaufman essex linen/cotton blend. They are a bit pricier though so buy the hard to find colors from them and order the whites/putty/brown and black from places like sew mama sew.
Pink Chalk Fabrics — blog called pink chalk studio.
Purl Soho –lovely fabrics along with fabulous yarns too. Has a blog called purl bee.
Sew Mama Sew –great fabric, great blog and a free friday giveaway often.
Sew Sassy Fabrics –lingerie fabrics for those inclined to sew something a little “sassy” ;-)
Something about Mary — page with many links for on line fabric stores of all types.
Trimweaver Fabrics – has a blog
Will add to this as I have time. Thanks for looking.
